A Nigerian businessman has accused music star Davido of sending his security men to assault him, just days after he publicly called the singer out for allegedly refusing to honor a business agreement worth over ₦200 million.
The businessman first went viral earlier in the week after releasing a video where he accused Davido of breaching their contract. According to him, he fulfilled his part of the deal, but the singer failed to make payment as agreed. He said his decision to speak out came after several failed attempts to reach Davido privately.
In a new video shared online, the businessman appeared with visible injuries. He alleged that Davido’s security team attacked him in retaliation for exposing the issue on social media. In his words, the assault happened shortly after he made the first post calling out the singer.
“I was beaten because I spoke up,” he claimed. “They said I was tarnishing Davido’s image, but all I want is justice and my money.”
The video has since caused a wave of reactions online. While some Nigerians expressed sympathy for the businessman, others demanded Davido’s side of the story. A few fans also called for an investigation to uncover what truly happened between both parties.
As of now, Davido has not publicly responded to the allegations. His management team has also remained silent. However, social media users continue to debate the issue, with hashtags like #JusticeForTheBusinessman and #Davido200MillionDeal trending on X (formerly Twitter).
The businessman insists he will not back down until he gets justice, adding that he has reported the matter to the authorities. Nigerians now await an official response from Davido or his representatives regarding the alleged contract breach and assault.
