The project manager of late Nigerian gospel singer Sammie Okposo, Hillary Vincent, has denied viral claims that the artist collapsed before his death. Confusion spread after several news outlets reported that the gospel star slumped at his Lekki home and was rushed to the hospital.

In an exclusive interview with Sunday Scoop, Vincent explained that Sammie Okposo did not collapse as reported. He said, “It is not true that Sammie collapsed and died. That report is false. The family will soon set the record straight. He simply did not wake up from his sleep.”
Vincent also added that the Okposo family is still grieving and will announce funeral details in due time. He urged the public to disregard false reports and show respect to the late singer’s memory.
