On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, a tragic road accident at the Ojoo-Iwo Road axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway claimed 16 lives. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, which involved multiple vehicles and left 17 others injured.
What Caused the Ibadan Road Crash?
A Mack truck experienced brake failure, leading to the accident. The truck, with license plate AKM 548 ZY, collided with three other vehicles: a Nissan commercial bus (MUB 20 LG), a Nissan Micra taxi (BDJ 520 YC), and a Honda Accord SUV (KRD 707 ER).

Among the 35 people involved in the crash, 14 were male adults, 10 were female adults, six were female children, and five were male children. Sadly, 16 people lost their lives.
