Two commanders of the terrorist group Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, Ba’a Usman (Munzir), Alhaji Ari (Nakib) and their followers surrendered to the troops.
Security analyst and counterinsurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, informed that the terrorists surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Damboa on November 20, 2022, according to the Ministry of Defence.

The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, has said that the British government informed its Nigerian counterpart of the terror alert it had recently issued for Abuja.
Speaking at the NAN forum in Abuja on Sunday, Laing said the British government had also informed Nigerian authorities of the travel advisory it had issued for its citizens in Abuja.
"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good: His love endures forever."
The federal government had scolded its British counterpart over the terror alert and travel advisories issued for its citizens, saying the measures were unnecessary.
Laing disagreed with the Nigerian government, saying the terror alert and travel advisories were meant for British citizens living in Nigeria and other nationals who needed the information.
