Pastor arrested over links to Adamawa kidnap syndicate

the Rev. Ruth Kenneth was arrested by officers of the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly being part of a kidnapping syndicate terrorizing residents of the state.

PUNCH Metro learned that the 38-year-old prayer warrior and traditionalist runs a miracle center for people seeking solutions to their problems in the state.

However, Kenneth’s luck ran out when policemen from the command’s anti-kidnapping unit tracked down her phone and discovered that it was being used by a kidnap suspect.

Police were on the trail of the suspect who had demanded millions in ransom from the family members of a kidnap victim in N10 state.

The state police public relations officer, Suleiman Nguroje, said Kenneth had been a prayer warrior and traditionalist for most of her clients, but unbeknownst to them, she was a member of brazen criminals who specialized in kidnapping people for ransom.

He said, “The suspect is a spiritualist who has been in custody following her arraignment in court. But now, there is still another allegation, which police investigations in another high-profile kidnap case showed that she is equally involved due to conversations that the police tracked and linked to her. The police will apply for her to be brought back to the command to face fresh charges against her as a suspect.”

Nguroje, who warned the public to be wary of persons they patronize when in search of a spiritual solution, said Kenneth operated as a spiritual prayer warrior without a church.
