Oyegun Loses in His Polling Unit – Edo Election

Today punch report the lost of Odigie Oyegun the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in his polling unit. According to report, Odigie Oyegun loses his polling unit in the election that was conducted yesterday Wednesday September 28th 2016.

Oyegun Loses in His Polling Unit – Edo Election

We understand that Odigie-Oyegun, who registered in Ward 2, Unit 2, in Oredo Local Government Area, voted at about 10:45am.

We were made known by punch that  the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Odigie Oyegun also lost his polling unit in the 2015 Presidential election in the state.

After sorting and counting votes, it happen that the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, scored 78 votes while the ruling APC trailed behind with 69 votes which made Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu lead with 9 votes. However, Odigie-Oyegun, expressed his satisfaction with the exercise, appreciating the voters as he describing the turnout of voters as a pleasant surprise.

While he speak to the press he said “I am pleasantly surprised because this is the best turnout I have ever experienced. I hope it presumes that something good is about to happen.”

He further more stated that “People are keen to express their democratic options and democracy has become totally widespread. It is a very good thing. It has been peaceful so far.”
