1.) I liked Remitly at first. It was easy to use and reasonable sending fee. The recipient received transfers within minutes in their bank account, but recently there have been problems and I’m needing to contact customer service. I paid the fee, but the transfer doesn’t go through right away and the status is “In Progress”. So what is the point of paying $3.99 for express when it’s not express?! It’s very inconvenient. I need to look for a new app to send money

Excellent company, multiple transfers with them already using their economy option, always available when they say it’s going to be, good rate USD/MXN, pick up at a local bank, and their app works with no issues and easy to navigate. I haven’t used their fast transfer yet, but credit card fees are 3% (but I don’t take cash advances on credit cards) debit cards have zero fees, compared to other companies like WorldRemit, but their exchange rate is less than WorldRemit for fast transfers.
3.) Easy to use and set up on your phone. One problem is that you can’t send money inside the United States. A second problem is that the overseas stores that distribute the money have limits on how much money you can send during a certain period. Because of that sometimes I had to use other apps to send money, like Western Union which is very expensive. Otherwise great app, with low fees to send money. Sends a text message to the recipient including the code to pick up the money. Great customer
4.) Used it for several months without issues… but last two months I have to call, sometimes twice or more, when sending to banks to complete the transaction. Every single time for around two months there’s always an issue. I call and solve that transaction, and then the next it gets held and we have to work it all over again. And that’s every time now. I’ve already switched to another money-sending app. So sad. It was going amazingly well.
5.) I’ve been using Remitly for years and have nothing but positive comments. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to safely send money transfers internationally without having to worry about fraud or a long wait. They have two options instant transfers paid with credit/debit cards and an economy option which you use by linking your bank account. The economy does take a few days, so only use it when you have time. The app is also user-friendly.
