Jasmine Okafor, adopted daughter of Nollywood veteran John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, has filed for divorce from her UK-based husband MD nine months after their marriage.
Jasmine Okafor had revealed on TikTok how she met her husband who left his country to propose to her in The Gambia two months after they met.
Jasmine confirmed the separation on her Instagram page on Monday, where she accused her ex-husband of lying about his previous relationship and his children.
Jasmine, who’s expecting a set of twins, said her husband never mentioned he was divorced or had children
She wrote, “This has been the best nine months of my life! I’ve no regrets at all! I just won’t settle for a lie!
“I forgive easily. I remember asking you about it several times before we started.
“When I found out today from your mother, it hit me hard! A foundation built on a tiny lie doesn’t last! I love how you loved me!
“But I hate that you never mentioned anything to me about your divorce or the kids! I don’t think I want anyone else! Just gonna love you from a distance.”

In another message shared on her Whatsapp status, Jasmine added, “My marriage was so beautiful and full of love, my husband literally adored me!
“I don’t know if anyone will ever love me the way he did! But that one lie! I can’t forgive that! I filed for divorce today! I found out today that he’s three grown up girls! 3?.
“He never told me he was married and divorced! Yes he’s divorced but that still doesn’t change anything! I married a single, loving man! I’ll not settle for anything less! I love him so much! I appreciate all the love you’ve shown me!!!
