Manchester United has parted ways with Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo with immediate effect.
The club in a statement on Tuesday announced the decision was by mutual consent.
Naija News reports the decision is coming on the heels of the contentious interview made by the Portugal talisman.
The statements via the club’s social media platform read: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.
“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford,”.
