Kidnapping Tactics in Nigeria: What You Must Know

A reliable source shared a disturbing report with us earlier today. A new kidnapping method is currently being used in Nigeria, especially in Ibadan, and everyone needs to be alert.

How the Kidnappers Operate

Kidnappers now move around in Sienna buses wearing casual clothes—not police uniforms. They stop in front of an unsuspecting person and order the person to enter the bus.

When you refuse, they immediately accuse you of being a runaway murderer. Their voices become extremely loud so that passers-by will believe them. Some innocent people may even unknowingly join them, urging you to “follow them to the station” because they think you are truly guilty.

This trick has trapped many victims because the kidnappers act boldly and confidently, pretending to be police officers even though they wear no uniform and show no identification.

Why This Method Is Dangerous

  • Their loud accusations confuse the victim.

  • Bystanders usually believe them and help them enforce the lie.

  • The kidnappers drag victims into the bus, claiming the person is “wanted.”

  • Many people in Ibadan have already fallen victim to this tactic.

This strategy is designed to pressure, frighten, and overpower the victim quickly.

What to Do If This Happens to You

If you ever find yourself in this situation:

1. Scream loudly and run immediately.

Draw attention your own way, not by letting them control the narrative.

2. Do not allow them to ask you any questions.

Your safety comes first—keep moving.

Psalm 121:7-8
"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good: His love endures forever."

3. At worst, scream for help from more people

Make a scene so the crowd focuses on your voice, not theirs.

4. Demand their police ID—but only from a safe distance and only if other genuine people surround you.

5. Never enter their vehicle under any circumstances.

These people are not real police officers. They are kidnappers, and their goal is to overpower you mentally first and physically next.

Warn Your Loved Ones in Ibadan

Please share this message with family members, friends, and communities, especially those living or moving around Ibadan. The more people who remain aware of this tactic, the fewer victims these criminals will capture.

May the Lord expose every kidnapper, ritualist, and evil operation in Nigeria. Stay safe and stay alert.
