Chidimma Adetshina Crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024

Chidimma Adetshina, representing Taraba State, was crowned miss universe Nigeria 2024. Her journey to this prestigious crown showcases her resilience and grace, especially after her controversial disqualification from Miss Universe South Africa.

Africa Fact Zone announced Adetshina’s victory on their X account with a video post last night. “Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina has emerged as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024,” the post stated. Pop Pulse confirmed that she will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe grand finale in Mexico this November.

“This crown is not just for beauty; it’s a call for unity,” Adetshina said after receiving the crown. Born in South Africa to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother, Adetshina faced several challenges. She withdrew from the Miss South Africa competition after negative online comments and accusations about her nationality. Despite this setback, Miss Universe organizers invited her to compete in Nigeria, where she claimed victory.

The Miss Universe Nigeria competition featured 25 contestants who displayed intelligence, elegance, and grace. The top five finalists included Miss Taraba Chidimma Adetshina, Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu, Miss Edo Edeifo Brittany, Miss Ondo Ayegbidun Peace Olamide, and Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas.
