The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has apologized to its customers for the ongoing power interruptions across its franchise areas. The company expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and promised to keep consumers updated on the situation.


Reason Behind the Power Outage

In a statement released in Abuja on Friday, AEDC explained that the inconsistent power supply resulted from an insufficient energy allocation from the national grid.

“We acknowledge the irregular power supply observed recently,” the management stated. “This is mainly due to the inadequate allotment of electrical energy granted to us.”

The company added that it had no choice but to enforce load curtailment in certain areas to maintain grid stability and prevent a total system collapse.
