The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) was established in 1981 under the drive of the Nigerian government with the motive of creating universities that specialised in producing graduates with practical and as well theoretical knowledge of technologies. This citadel of learning is located in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State. It is a public university that comes with the motto “Technology for self reliance”.
The Chancellor of this great university is Alhaji Isa Mustafa Agwai I, the Emir of Lafia, and the Vice-Chancellor Professor Joseph Fuwape. The university has a capacity of about 15,000 students (both undergraduates and postgraduate) and the unique color Purple.
Though gaining admission into Tertiary institutions in Nigeria might be very competitive because high number of people are applying for admission annually and only limited spaces are available. Gaining admission into FUTA, you need to get the required things ready which may be a certificate, results or other necessary things.
What are the requirements to gain admission into FUTA?
The following requirements are necessary in order to gain admission into the Federal University of Technology Akure.
One of the Requirements is that the student must have passed at least 5 Credits in either WAEC, Or NECO at First Sitting or 6 credits in Two Sittings to be able to apply for admission in FUTA .
Secondly, The candidates must register for JAMB and score at least a minimum of 200 Cut off mark before qualifying to buy the Federal University of Technology Akure admission form. After those two requirements above, candidates are expected to prepare very well for the screening in order to score high which increases the chances of been offered admission.
To further increase your admission chances, you may still choose to apply for less competitive courses in FUTA and following the above steps gives a chance of becoming a Futarian.
