Two chines companies has recently released school uniform materials that is causing cancer which could lead to death of millions students. The Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) has ringed an alarm to warn Nigeria importers to beware of this dangerous cancer uniform produced by two China based companies.
The two companies that are involve in this production are known as Zenith Uniform Company and Sing Shun Fat School-Clothier Company. According to the report, this companies used a high amount of substance known as 4-amino azo dye which has been banned in so many countries on their uniform materials, not only implementing the substance but high quantity of it was used.
Such uniform materials could be imported into Nigeria unknowingly, so in order to avoid that, the Standard Organization of Nigeria known as (SON) therefore passed warning to importers of school materials to go through thorough checking process before commencing import.
The Special Assistant and Head of Public Relations to the Director General of SON, Bola Fashina, reveal that that the azo dyes which were discovered in some school uniforms in Hong Kong contained up to 173 milligrams and 41 milligrams for every kilogram of the tried examples individually, which were well over the most extreme permitted in the standard. “Utilization of the 4-amino azo dyes have been prohibited in Europe, Japan and different parts of the World preceding the finding.
