HURIWA in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko spoke on president Muhammadu Buhari’s decision on picking the step-sister of the Kaduna state governor (Nasir El-Rufai) whose name is Zainab Ahmed.
President Buhari has choosen a Fulani like himself as Minister of finance. The previous minister is of finance left due to the allegations made on her fake NYSC certificate. Just some few days ago she resigned and now the president has replaced kemi Adeosun with a Fulani.
The rights group also reacted to the President for concentrating in the hands of only a section of the country. the body has accused the president of nepotism which violates section 14 (3) of the constitution.”
They said why should the government concentrate the most important appointments in the cabinet such as Finance, Defence, Justice and the entire internal security team in the hands of a section of Nigeria. This divisive tendency is a grave threat to the people of Nigeria.
Granting the brothers and sisters of the president to be in charge of almost all the key positions in the country must be looked upon. Nigeria is made off different people and tribes not just the fulanis. They have taken control of all infastructures and they handle the most vital position in the country, this is a constitutional abormination and it has to be dealt with.
They also questioned the ”replacement of a competent acting Director General of Directorate of State Security Services, Mr. Mathew Seiyefa with Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi who is a retiree from Kano state. HURIWA Said the president is busy appointing his kinsmen to be in charge of vital roles in the country, he only favours those who practice his religion and this is not right.
The organisation faulted Ahmed’s appointment, claiming that she is the stepsister of Nasir El-Rufai the kaduna state governor
