DIKANNA: Anambra has got talented children


 

It is well known that bitterleaf soup ( onugbu), is one of the widely eaten soup in the Eastern part of Nigeria. It is been prepared with the bitterleaf it self. The bitterleaf has to undergo the process of grinding and washing, in other to remove it’s bitter taste and make it suitable for the soup.

DIKANNA Onuigbo  a student of community secondary School okpuno located in Awka south of Anambra state . He has made things easy when it comes to the preparation of bitterleaf soup. With his invention bitterleaf soup can be prepared faster and with less energy.

Dikanna the son of Mr Peter Onuigbo a native of uru- orji village , ogidi in idemili North local government Area.He  is a sixteen years old boy who reside in Awka with his parents. Accompanied with his father Mr Peter, Dikanna presented his machine to the deputy Governor of Anambra state,the person of Dr Nkem okeke.He told the deputy Governor how happy he was to have succeeded in bringing this to reality . He also told the deputy Governor that he would like to patent his invention and also secure the neccesary funding to commercialised his invention.

Dr Nkem okeke promised  DIKANNA Onuigbo that he would be sponsored to study mechanical engineering in any University of his choice in Nigeria. The deputy Governor was so happy and commended dikannafor his resourcefulness  and gave him alot of advices on his dreams and asked his to study hard in other to archive more.

High dignitries who were present in the demonstration where the machine was presented areHon Afam mbanefo who is the commissioner of Agriculture, Hon Nnamdi onukwuba who is the commissioner of land  and also the managing director of the state capital Awka territory development ,the person of Rev Amaechi okwusa and some other dignitries were present.
