    • Currently trending, someone climbed the top of an MTN or Glo mask and has been there since yesterday. We don’t know if he is trying to commit suicide. Everyone in the area has been notified including the police.the vigilante , police and neighbors are still gathered at the scene begging the man to come down. Its currently trending now. U can locate the place if u find your way to iyana ipaja, then take Ikotun bus and alight at Idimu bustop. Them u take a bike to church bustop. That is where it is happening.

  • This is to bring to your notice that we the residents of Awoyomi neighbourhood at Ahmadiyyah, Ijaiye Ojokoro have not had electricity for close to 3 months now. The last electricity supplied was on the 3rd of January 2018.

The electricity saga started when the officials of IKEDC visited the transformer to manually change the electricity distribution to the next batch as we are placed on a 2 days on – 1 day off electricity shift.

The transformer blew-up on the 3/01/2018 and IKEDC had to move the transformer for repairs. It was not returned until after 2 months. Another report got to us that it had blown up while they were trying to install it 3 weeks ago, and the landlords were not carried along. in this new development.

Initially the Branch manager of the IKEDC office assigned to the area ensured that there was an 80% payment of the December 2017 bill. People struggled to pay though it was very inconvenient as we have been spending so much in fueling our generators and getting water for our use. He promised to switch on the transformer on payment, residents paid even over 80% of the total 100% residing in Ahmadiyyah, MICCOM axis. This happened since 2 weeks ago and we are yet to get electricity supplies.

As I write this mail we are yet to get a notice, or an information of when electricity will be restored in this area.

This is a very depressing tale because we the residents in this region have been living as if we are in a village; NO LIGHT, NO WATER, ROADS are under construction. It is not a good living condition at all. Believe me, It is an unconceivable experience.

I hereby request that you use your good office to intervene urgently in this matter and ensure a speedy shift in this unthinkable situation.

    Thank you.
