AMAZING: Australian senator breast feeds baby in parliament

Larissa Waters an Australian senator is seen breastfeeding her baby in the senate chamber at Parliament House in Canberra.
This is historical been that she is the first woman to actually nurse her newborn baby in the nations parliament.
This is her first time returning to the house after having her baby which is her second child, and brought her for a feed during a vote.
On twitter she wrote “So glad that my daughter is the first baby to be breastfed in the federal parliament! We need more women and parent in the parliament”
Wonder why this was allowed? Well the parliament made new rules which created a more “Family Friendly” in the wake of what can be described as a ‘BABY BOOM” amongst politicians.
However in the previous rules, children were totally banned. Like in 2013 Kristie Marshall, a Victorian MP was ejected from parliament for breastfeeding her 11- day old baby, Waters added.
Sometimes its difficult not to get disheartened by the sexism women till face in the work place. But sometimes it pays to look back and see how far we have come”
Walters has changed her facebook profile to an image of herself breastfeeding in the parliament, attracting dozens of mostly positive comments
