Linda left her modelling career for her writing passion in 2007. In August 2012, Forbes Africa dedicated itself to celebrating African women that month’s issue. In that issue, Forbes profiled Africa’s 20 Most Prominent Women and the issue featured profiles on two young Nigerian women: Linda Ikeji, as well as Chibundu Onuzo.

According to Linda, she start struggling at her age of 17. “It was early 2000, I was 19 years old, in my second year at the University of Lagos. I’d been a model for about a year and a half then. Modeling back then didn’t pay a lot. Sometimes you eat, sometimes you can’t find food. Sometimes you had money, sometimes you will have to beg for it. I’m not from a rich home. I started struggling since I was 17 to support my family.”

Linda is among the first people that started blogging. At of that time she was using blogger platform with blogger free domain name known as lindaikeji.blogspot.com the blogspot is a free subdomain name from blogger.com which is owned by Google. At of the time Linda started blogging there were no much profit in blogging and Nigeria was not much open to internet. Linda Ikeji started blogging on entertainment, celebrity and gossip niche. She has been featured on CNN and BBC website severally. She was the highest Google Search keyword in Nigeria for 2014.

At of the time we are writing this post, the celebrity blogger is still single at of her age of 36 years plus. However the blogger stated that there are a lot of men running after her but just hasn’t found the right man to settle with.

Patience: At the time she started blogging in 2007 internet usage was not this popular as it is now. She demonstrate the benefits of being patience. Never give up in what you do, be it profitable or not at thw moment, just believe in yourself and what you do, that is who you are.

Social: Linda has lot’s of audience on the social media’s, from what we can see, it simple to say she is someone socially active and friendly. You could imagine who were her first audience and where they where coming from since internet usage was low in Nigeria at then. It not far from saying her families and friends were there for her when she started. Note that in all you do, your friends and family are your first fans. Be social, associated and never be ashamed to introduce who you are everywhere you go.

She is true with her stories: The worst thing that can happen to a blogger is posting fakes rumours in order to drive traffic, such fake rumours blog will never last long.
