Few days ago glo network called me to introduce their new improvement on how one can purchase airtime credit from any bank account in Nigeria. Before now some of us already know how to buy airtime in each specific bank using the bank code. But this new improvement shows general code to buy airtime from any network and the good thing is that it free without paying a dime or getting charge for it.

General Code to Buy Airtime/Recharge from Your Bank Account – All Nigeria Banks

When i answered the call the lady introduce herself to me as from glo customer care service and ask if i would be interested in a means on how i can purchase airtime from my bank account without paying service fee. My answer was yes of-cuss. She ask me the bank i’m using and i told her i used up to three banks then she said it will be good that i have the general code which enable me to buy airtime from any of the Nigerian bank.

I said to myself that it will be good for informationhood followers and friends to as well know this code, should incase any issued or delay is encountered with the bank to bank code, you can use the general recharge from bank direct code. This code work on all banks such as “Access Bank, Zenith Bank, UBA Bank, Union Bank, First Bank, GTBank, Sky Bank” and more others.

How to buy airtime from bank account in Nigeria using the general code

To buy airtime from your bank account, you must make sure you are using the number registered with your account in ordering the card, this is the same number you use in receiving alert when ever transaction is carried on your account.

To buy recharge card from your account dial *805# (You will see list of Nigeria banks)
Select your bank by entering the bank listed number ( e.g: for access bank press 1 and send it, for diamond bank enter 2 and send it, just look for the number which your bank is listed and enter it then press send. If your banks is not listed on the first page, enter 8 and send to go to the next page.)
Enter the amount you want to recharge ( 1 for N100 Naira, 2 for N200, 3 for N500, 4 for N1,000, 5 for 2,000, 6 for N3,000).
Wait for comfirmation message. If you follow the above steps, your account will be credited with your requested amount.

Note that it won’t work if you are not using the number you registered with your account.
